Key Responsibilities
Create, develop and validate quantitative mammalian cellular assays to address the project team’s mechanistic and functional needs.
Establish robust screening assays to support medicinal chemistry lead optimization programs.
Design and manage in vivo pre-clinical pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and toxicity studies.
Design and manage physiological experiments in translational disease models to test efficacy and mechanism of action of novel clinical candidates.
Establish PK/PD relationships, demonstrating proof-of-concept, enabling candidate selection and delivering data for clinical dose predictions in preclinical in vivo experiments.
Establish pharmacology strategy in alignment with company pipeline objectives.

Minimum Requirements
PhD in Biology, physiology, pathology or pharmacology with relevant postdoctoral experience and at least 5 years biotech/pharma working experiences.
Extensive experience in creating, developing, and running cellular assays; engineering cell lines to express or knock-down genes of interest, and interrogating cellular signal transduction pathways.
Experience with flow cytometry and general molecular biological techniques including q-PCR, ELISA, MSD and Western Blot etc.
Strong background in designing in vivo animal studies.
Strong knowledge of cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and senescence.
Experience in oncology and knowledge p53 signaling pathway is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Perform determination of the mode of action of antibacterial small molecules.

- Scientist/Investigator, Disease Biology
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for genetic manipulation with Mycobacterium and/or other bacterial pathogens, developing phenotypic assays and HTS for antibacterial.

Key Responsibilities
As a senior biologist, you will play key roles in target evaluation/validation, hit identification, hit validation and MOA studies in drug discovery process. Your responsibilities include, but not limit to the following:

Key Responsibilities
Lead the medicinal chemistry activities of one or more small-molecule drug discovery projects at target validation, hit to lead or lead optimization stages.
Work together with core team members across multiple disciplines to design and implement project strategies for the advancement of projects leading to the identification of high-quality preclinical candidates.
Independently design biologically active molecules and conduct SAR studies to meet the project goals; design synthetic routes and lead the internal or external chemistry team in the synthesis and characterization of drug candidates for the projects.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a leader in the laboratory, executing on program and chemistry strategy.

Responsibilities:
Apply his/her expertise and experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry and structure biology to provide high-quality proteins to other drug-discovery functions, including disease biology, HTS and Structure Biology for assay development, biochemical and biophysical characterization.
Be proficient to use bioinformatic genetic data analysis, protein structure-function studies to design protein constructs for optimized protein expression in various expression systems, preferably proficient in using insect cells, mammalian cell expression systems.
Be result-oriented, be able to independently design and execute the experiments; maintain accurate laboratory records on research data and operational details.
As a biochemist, capable of integration of various molecular biology, biochemical, biophysical characterization tools for drug target characterization.

Qualifications

- Scientist/Sr. Scientist, Assay Development & Screening
About the Role
The successful candidate will primarily support the assay development and screening capabilities of the HTS Platform, using their scientific and technical skills to develop assays and carry out screening campaigns for internal projects and external collaborations. Additional support of other areas including cell culture and molecular biology is expected, when required.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop fit for purpose assays in close collaboration with Disease Biology colleagues.
Support all aspects of assay development and screening including optimization and validation of assays to be executable on automation systems.
Carry out and troubleshoot a variety of binding and competition assays, using techniques such as reporter cell line, FP, AlphaLISA/AlphaScreen, FRET/HTRF based assays and ELISA.
Use liquid handling automation to support high throughput screening.
Contribute to and support process improvements.
Support data management by analyzing data and recording within laboratory notebooks.
Prepare reports and recommendations to be shared with project teams and collaborators.
Assist other areas of related functions, including cell culture and molecular biology, when required.
Abide by Laboratory SOPs and work within EHS, Ethical and Quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
PhD/MS in biological sciences (or equivalent).
Experience in high throughput strategies from assay design to screening execution.
Ability of follow and write standard operating procedures.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD with a minimum of 3 years (or MS with 8+ years) of working experience in biochemical and/or cellular assay development and screening.
Track record of contributing to successful outcomes on projects in academia and/or the Biotech/Pharma industry.
Skilled in the use of high throughput screening strategies, assay cascade design, assay development, screening campaign, and data analysis.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of technical principles, literature, and methods.
Experience of applying data analytic theories such as multi-parameter curve fitting and EC / IC50 is required.
Must possess and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be highly self-motivated and can work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Associate Scientist/Scientist, Assay Development & Screening
About the Role
The successful candidate will primarily support the assay development and screening capabilities of the HTS Platform, using their scientific and technical skills to develop/optimize assays and carry out screening campaigns for internal projects, collaborations, and services to external customers. Additional support of other areas including cell culture and molecular biology is expected.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop fit for purpose assays in close collaboration with disease biology colleagues.
Support all aspects of assay development and screening activities including assay optimization, validation, and execution on automation systems.
Test and troubleshoot a variety of assay types, e.g. binding and competition assays, may use techniques such as reporter cell line, FP, AlphaLISA/AlphaScreen, FRET/HTRF based assays and ELISA.
Use liquid handling automation to support high throughput screening.
Contribute to laboratory process improvements.
Support data management by analyzing data and recording within laboratory notebooks.
Prepare reports and share with/present to project teams and collaborators.
Assist related functions, e.g. cell culture, molecular biology, when required.
Abide by Laboratory SOPs and work within EHS, Ethical and Quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
MS in biological sciences (or equivalent) with 3 years of post-school laboratory working experience.
Ability of follow instructions and create standard operating procedures.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
MS with 5+ years or PhD with 2+ years of working experience in academic laboratories, CROs, or biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
Track record of contributing to successful outcomes on projects
Experiences in developing assays and/or carrying out screening campaigns for drug discovery are highly desired.
Comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and experience of modern liquid handling technologies is a big plus.
Experience of carrying out data analysis such as multi-parameter curve fitting, EC50/IC50 determination, or using excel macro to handle large dataset is advantageous.
Must possess and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be highly self-motivated and can work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
