Yuxun Wang (Chief Scientific Officer)

Dr. Yuxun Wang, M.D./Ph.D., is currently the Chief Scientific Officer of GHDDI. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of a biotech company in Beijing, Corporate Deputy General Manager and Chief Scientific Officer of Pharscin Pharma and Vice President of Biology and Translational Medicine at Qingfeng Pharma Denovo Pharmatech.

Prior to returning to China, Dr. Wang served as Senior Research Biologist at Merck & Co., Inc. and Associate Director at Metamark Genetics, Inc. in the United States. In addition to his industrial experience at leading global pharma and biotech companies, he held a tenure-track faculty position at University of South Carolina and Hollings Cancer Center.

Dr. Wang has a longstanding interest in translational research and drug discovery. He has initiated dozens of innovative drug discovery programs and led several of them into the clinic, with extensive experience spanning early-stage scientific discovery, translational research and clinical development.

Dr. Wang has published 25 papers in high-impact journals, including Nature Genetics, PNAS and Cancer Research, as first or corresponding author. He has filed and published 15 patents. He is a frequent invited speaker at national and international conferences.
